Usually we used to do rava idli at home with the readymade rava idli mix, but it is very easy and simple to do at home ourselves. Here's the recipe.

INGREDIENTS :
Rava - 250gms
Sour curd - 250gms
Salt as needed
Coriander leaves

TO TEMPER :
Green chilli - 3 (finely chopped )
Ginger - two inch ( finely chopped )
Urad dal - 2tbspn
Channa dal - 2tbspn
Mustard seeds - 1tspn
Cashews - 10
Curry leaves - 2sprig
Asafoetida - 1/2tspn
Oil - 2tbspn
Ghee - 1tbspn

PREPARATION :
1. In a pan first dry roast the rava & transfer it to a vessel.
2. Then in a pan pour oil & ghee, then temper mustard seeds, add urad dal, channa dal, chopped ginger & green chillies, cashews, curry leaves and fry them to golden brown, then add asafoetida and pour it to the roasted rava and allow it to cool.

3. Then add salt, sour curd and mix them. Then add finely chopped coriander leaves mix them. keep it aside for 5 minutes and then pour in idli plates & cook them.
